CONSENSUAL RELATIONSHIP: Ime Udoka has considered the possibility of resigning after cheating on wife, Nia Long, with female staff

Ime Udoka has considered the possibility of resigning, sources told @SInow. Internally, coaches and staff members are bracing for the likelihood that Udoka will be suspended for one year for having a relationship with a female staffer.  (Read More Here).

It was gathered that the incident happened on Tuesday, September 11. A source reports, “She dressed like a mad woman and lured the victim into believing she was playing with him. Then, she walked him out from a crowded place to a secret place where she forced him into a sack.

Mazzulla is just 34 years old, two years younger than veteran big man Al Horford. Still, he’s been with the club since 2019 and has some organizational clout with the front office and with the locker room. This past season he often filled in for Udoka for certain interviews and other media obligations.

So who is Joe Mazzulla? Here’s what Celtics fans need to know.

Additionally, Jayson Tatum added to the praise:

I love Joe. I think just being around him for the last, I think this is his third year, maybe second or third year, you can tell how passionate he is about the guys and his craft. And he’s gotten so much more knowledgeable, and more detailed, and more vocal and more comfortable in his role as a coach. You’ve seen the growth from his first year, and he’s helped me out tremendously as a player and a person. So, (I) can’t say enough good things about Joe, and everybody appreciates what he brings to this team, and I’m glad that we have him.
We’re still waiting for further details on Udoka’s suspension, but in the meantime, it’s clear that if Mazzulla does indeed need to step into the role, at least he has the backing and confidence of those in the organization.

Joe Mazzulla is a native of Johnston, Rhode Island, and played in Warwick for a Bishop Hendricken High School team that won three state titles in four years. Mazzulla played college ball at West Virginia and served as the team’s captain during their 2010 Final Four run.

In 2011 Mazzulla joined the Glenville State basketball program in West Virginia before taking a job down the road at Fairmont State as an assistant coach in 2013.

Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka could be facing disciplinary action – including a possible suspension – according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
