The suspect fled on foot with a companion in the direction of Industriestraße. Witnesses described him as 1.70 to 1.80 meters tall, 18 to 20-year-old adolescent with a slight build and a beard. He was wearing wide-leg jeans, a T-shirt and a bucket hat. His companion is said to have been the same age, also male and wearing a white T-shirt.

The 25-year-old trans man Malte C., who was seriously injured in a brutal attack on Saturday evening on the sidelines of the CSD festival on Albersloher Weg in Münster, succumbed to his injuries early Friday morning. This was announced by the police and the public prosecutor's office.

According to an initial police estimate, 6,500 people took part in a rally against violence against queer people in Münster early Friday evening in front of the historic town hall.
