PHOTO: "It's crap" - Americans react to poster of Marvel's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever after release of new trailer

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Americans react to poster of Marvel's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever after release of new trailer. (Read More Here).

The latest trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever doesn’t say explicitly, although it does strongly hint that it’s Shuri (Letitia Wright), the sister of T’Challa, the previous Black Panther (played by the late Chadwick Boseman). Of course it could still be Lupita Nyong’o’s Nakia or Danai Gururia’s Okoye — or even Dominique Thorne’s Ironheart, I suppose. But it’s definitely one of the female members of the cast in that suit.

Besides the first look at the new Black Panther’s costume, this trailer also gives us more info on the conflict between Namor (Tenoch Huerta) and the surface world, and how Wakanda fits into all of the drama. It also shows off a few brief shots of Ironheart in action; that character will then spin off into her own Disney+ series down the line.

In “Captain America: Civil War,” the “Avengers” movies and, of course, “Black Panther,” Chadwick Boseman brought King T’Challa to life, marking an important moment in representation in superhero films and breaking box office records along the way.

After Boseman’s shocking death in August 2020 due to colon cancer, which the actor had kept private, audiences began to wonder whether his character would be recast in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ahead of the release of sequel “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” shot after Boseman’s death, fans launched a campaign for Marvel to honor the actor and character by recasting T’Challa, a movement that sparked a petition with over 60,000 signatures. Although the actor does not appear in the upcoming movie, “Wakanda Forever” will pay tribute to Boseman.

In an interview with Empire, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige explained the decision to not recast T’Challa, at least yet. “It just felt like it was much too soon to recast,” he said. “Stan Lee always said that Marvel represents the world outside your window. And we had talked about how, as extraordinary and fantastical as our characters and stories are, there’s a relatable and human element to everything we do. The world is still processing the loss of Chad. And [director] Ryan [Coogler] poured that into the story.”

Feige continued, “The conversations were entirely about, yes, ‘What do we do next?’ And how could the legacy of Chadwick — and what he had done to help Wakanda and the Black Panther become these incredible, aspirational, iconic ideas — continue? That’s what it was all about.”

“Wakanda Forever” premieres in theaters on Nov. 11.

The new trailer shows is a more action-packed look at the movie than the emotive first reveal. Most notably, we get a look at the new suit for a female Black Panther (who we believe we know the identity of after a toy leak). The suit clearly inherits T'Challa's kinetic force absorption, but is more ornate, with gold armour accents across the length of the suit.

We also get multiple, brief looks at the first suit for new MCU hero Ironheart (Dominique Thorne, playing Riri Williams), who debuts in this movie before getting her own Disney+ series. The suit, which looks a little heftier than Iron Man's most familiar outfits, is seen in a car chase, taking off from ground level (seemingly to reach a plane above it), and in a speedy ascent as Riri screams, "Let's go!" We also see a shot from inside the suit, showing that Riri will have similar inside-the-helmet close-ups to Tony Stark throughout his movies.
