The life and legacy of storyteller, activist and philanthropist Norman Lear is honored at this one-night-only celebration of his 100th birthday. The special pays homage to the man behind some of television’s greatest stories and features a lineup of celebrity guests including Jennifer Aniston, Asante Blackk, George Clooney, Laverne Cox, Isabella Gomez, Emily Hampshire, Tom Hanks, Jimmy Kimmel, Rita Moreno, Ms. Pat, Jay Pharoah, Amy Poehler, Rob Reiner, Aida Rodriguez, Octavia Spencer and George Wallace. Special musical performances paying tribute to iconic sitcom theme songs will also be featured throughout the evening and will be performed by Anthony Anderson, Kristen Bell, Ledisi, Justina Machado, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kelly Rowland, Amber Stevens West, Michelle Williams and more.
Dark Horse Comics has released their full solicitations information for titles scheduled to ship in September 2022 and beyond. Among Dark Horse‘s offerings for the month are Maskerade, the first title from the Kevin Smith-curated Secret Stash Press imprint; Kepler, a new graphic novel from writer/actor David Duchovny and writer/artist Phillip Sevy; and Berserk Volume 41, the final installment of the late Kentaro Miura‘s manga epic.
All that and much, much more ahead in the full Dark Horse Comics September 2022 solicitations. Filmed entirely in Thailand, this six-part miniseries is a dramatization of the real-life global effort to rescue a Thai soccer team that became trapped in the Tham Luang cave in 2018. Among other retellings of this event that have been made in recent years, this one stands out in its authenticity by having unique and exclusive filming access to the homes of the real soccer team members, as well as the cave itself.
