CAUSE OF DEATH: 30-Year-Old Crypto Firm Co-Founder, Tiantian Kullander, DIES SUDDENLY in His Sleep

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that 30-Year-Old Crypto Firm Co-Founder Tiantian Kullander DIES SUDDENLY in His Sleep.

Tiantian Kullander (known as TT) has died at the age of 30. Tiantian Kullander “passed away unexpectedly in his sleep” on November 23, 2022, Amber Group said in a statement on its website on Friday. Kullander leaves behind a wife and a son.

Tiantian Kullander co-founded digital-asset trading platform Amber Group. Tiantian Kullander is a former trader at Morgan Stanley. Kullander sat on the board of esports company Fnatic and founded KeeperDAO.

Amber Group started in 2015 as a side project of four traders: Kullander, Michael Wu, Wayne Huo and Tony He — as well as Bloomberg LP developer Thomas Zhu.

“It is with the deepest sadness and a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of our friend and co-founder, Tiantian Kullander.”

The company said Kullander was a key figure in starting the company. He founded the company along with his former colleagues in Morgan Stanley and other financial services companies. Kullander led by example with his intellect, generosity, humility, diligence and creativity, the company said in the statement. Besides his association with Amber Group, Kullander founded KeeperDAO, which is the first on-chain liquidity underwriter.

Tiantian Kullander is the one of the founding members of Amber Group and KeeperDAO. He was overseeing business development at Amber. Prior To starting Amber Group in 2017, Kullander worked as an emerging markets trader at financial services major Morgan Stanley. In his early career, he worked in the structured credit trading team at Goldman Sachs for less than a year. The Amber statement said he is survived by his wife and son.

Amber announced his death on Friday in a statement published on its website.  

The statement says that Kullander unexpectedly died in his sleep on Wednesday. “His passing is a tragedy and our thoughts and prayers are with his family,” Amber wrote. 

The cryptocurrency firm, which provides its clients with liquidity and market-making services, says that Kullander was “a pillar” of its success. “He put his heart and soul into the company, in every stage of its growth,” Amber said.

Kullander worked as a trader at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley before co-founding Amber Group in 2018. In early 2022, the cryptocurrency startup reached a $3 billion valuation after securing a $200 million funding round led by Temasek, a Singaporean state holding company. Amber is currently in talks to raise another $100 million, according to a recent Bloomberg report.
