Charles “Wide Neck” McDowell initially soared to internet celebrity in 2018 when a mugshot depicting his famously broad swivel became a hit and now he has an opportunity to do it all again after he was busted over the weekend.

Boasting one million Instagram followers, McDowell, 35, was booked into Escambia County Jail on stalking and withholding child support raps.

The anatomical wonder’s fortunes initially turned after his mugshot went viral. He joined a rap group comprised of other online semi-celebrities, and recorded a video with fellow anatomical oddity “Daddy Long Neck,” a younger, skinnier man with a very long neck.

McDowell was arrested in 2018 for a number of charges, including fleeing/eluding police, and drug charges relating to methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana.

Since his earlier arrest and rise to fame, McDowell became part of the Shrimp Gang, a collection of online celebrities. McDowell recorded a music video with fellow neck meme internet star, “Daddy Long Neck.”

McDowell gained more than 1 million followers on social media following a 2018 arrest and release of his mugshot. He put out rap songs under the name "Wide Neck."

According to his newest arrest report, McDowell committed the offense of aggravated stalking on Aug. 24 in Escambia County.

The report states McDowell showed up at a woman's home and also sent her threatening text messages.
