A magistrate court sitting in Kano State has remanded in prison custody popular skitmakers, Mubarak Muhammad (Uniquepikin) and Nazifi Muhammad, for allegedly def@ming the state’s governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, in one of their skits.
Daily Nigerian reports that the duo made a skit depicting Ganduje as a corr¥pt politician, who sold every available public plots of land in the state.
According to the report, they were arraigned by the police before Magistrate Court 58, Nomansland, presided over by Magistrate Aminu Gabari.
When the charges were read to them, the defendants pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy and def@mation of character of the governor.
The court therefore ordered that they be remanded in prison custody and adjourned the case till November 7 for passing of sentence.
