Leading things on “Block Is Hot” is Lil Durk who comes through with a charged up approach, followed by Deeski who unleashes some equally as jumpy bars and flows. The visuals match the title of the track and show both Durk and Deeski posted on the block with the rest of their crew.
“Block Is Hot” is one of 23 tracks from Only The Family’s (OTF) brand-new compilation album, Loyal Bros 2, which dropped yesterday (December 16). The project is the follow-up to the label’s 2021 LP and includes features from Future, Kodak Black and more.
This time around, Lil Durk and his squad cooked up another 23 tracks, including the previously released “ISTG, Pt. 2” with Kodak Black. The effort also includes contributions from OTF signees Doodie Lo, Booka600, Chief Wuk, Noza Jordan, and the late King Von, as well as guest appearances by Future, Trippie Redd, Lil Zay Osama, and Icewear Vezzo.
Loyal Bros 2 marks the fourth compilation project from Only the Family, and Durk’s first full-length release since his 7220 album back in March. The 30-year-old has also teased a collaborative effort with Grammy-nominated Heroes & Villains mastermind Metro Boomin. Lil Durk spoke about the release during a sit-down with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden.
“As far as next album, you done heard something,” he said about the release. “Nah, it’s really the Metro. Guaranteed. If that got leaked, ya’ll have had it. You’re not on the level.”
