The Constitutional review committee has made a startling revelation that Polygamy is legal in Botswana provided that the marriage is a customary one.

It is further disclosed that most public members do not know and that awareness should be done so as to inform and educate Batswana.

"Polygamy is legal under customary law. However, there is need for public education/awareness campaigns to further sensitize Batswana on these issues," reads components of the report.
