Brazilian Federal Police says report of 77-year-old elderly Bolsonarista woman who died at PF's gym during coup is fake news

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Brazilian Federal Police says report of 77-year-old elderly Bolsonarista woman who died at PF's gym during coup is fake news.

Information reads: "The [Brazilian] Federal Police informs that the information that an elderly woman would have died today (9/1) at the National Police Academy premises is FALSE".

The information that an elderly woman would have died in the gym where the detained Bolsonaristas were taken is false. The fact was denied by the Federal Police (PF), on the night of this Monday (9/1).

"The Federal Police reports that the information that an elderly woman would have died on today's date (9/1) on the premises of the National Police Academy is false", clarified the PF.

By publishing an image of an elderly woman, Bolsonarists claim that the alleged victim would have died due to lack of water. After a brief search, it is possible to verify that the photo used by the extremists is actually from an image bank.

"77-year-old lady. She just died from lack of water in the concentration camp, inside the PF gymnasium where patriots were detained at the behest of the oppressors," wrote a Bolsonarist on social media.

After the fake post became one of the most commented subjects on social networks, the Igor Roth profile identified the image used in the death note as an action on Grandparents' Day done in partnership with photographer Edu Carvalho and regretted that his work had been used to spread false information.

“In 2019, I did a campaign for Grandparents' Day and today I woke up to several fake news from bolsonaristas using photos of Edu Carvalho in a crazy way saying that the lady in the photos passed away! Absurd,” he posted on his profile.
