Song was formerly married to fellow Korean actor Song Hye-kyo for two years. The pair stunned millions of fans when they announced their divorce in 2019.
They shot to fame after playing lovers in the popular romance television series "Descendants of the Sun" in 2016.
After starting their real-life relationship, they earned the nickname the "Song Song Couple" and were widely seen as Asia's answer to American A-list pairings like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Korean actor Song Joong-ki is a married man again and is also an expecting father. The 37-year-old disclosed to his online fan community on Monday his marriage as well as his wife’s pregnancy. The announcement came about a month after his agency confirmed that he is in a relationship with a British woman.
When rumours emerged that the heartthrob was dating a woman and his agency confirmed the gossip in December, it was widely believed that the woman was Saunders, who appeared in several movies but has not been acting for some time. She accompanied Song to a press conference in Singapore in early December
