Tanzania’s favourite couple Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu seem to have won the blessings of some of their family members who have urged them to go ahead and tie the knot.
This after Diamond’s brother Romy Jons and his stepfather Uncle Shamte wished the couple well and offered prayers to God on their behalf for the two to solemnize their relationship.
“Mungu awatangulie, mtoke mliko mje tulipo Inshaallah,” Uncle Shamte said while Romy Jons wrote “Na ndoa yenu ikawe ya kheri Inshaallah.”
Zuchu was signed to the Wasafi label in April 2020. At the time, Diamond was fresh from breaking up with Kenyan singer Tanasha Donna. The couple had dated for almost a year before they went their separate ways immediately after the birth of their son.

That is why the same year when Zuchu started gaining popularity as a singer she had to set the records straight when rumours started making rounds that she was dating her boss.

Zuchu also insisted that Diamond was only looking out for her as his young sister and he was afraid that without proper mentorship she could easily end up getting distracted by male suitors.
But whether it was Diamond’s sultry voice or waist-shaking dance moves that charmed Zuchu, fans can’t help but wonder whether this time the Zanzibarian will be able to tame the Tanzanian ‘bad boy’.
Zuchu and Dimond are no longer an item, and most of their fans are heartbroken. Zuchu deleted snaps of the singer from her Instagram, and fans started speculating there was trouble in paradise.
"Kwa pamoja na Zuhura tunaomba tuwataarifu ya kwamba kwa sasa sisi ni dada na kaka na si wapenzi kama ilivyokua ikidhaniwa ama wengine kujua (Together with Zuchu, we want to inform you that for now we are like brother and sister unlike before)...mnaruhusiwa wachumba na wake ama waume kwa tutawaridhia...lakini muwe na vibarua vinavyoeleweka sio mje kutuchuna maana atuhongi hovyo," he said.
