Renolda Neufan (45) is looking for her missing daughter, Lesego Neufan (19).
The grade 12 pupil from extension 5 in Mamelodi East, Tshwane was last seen on Sunday, 26 February at about 4am. Renolda said Lesego locked the family inside the house while they were still asleep and left that morning without saying a word.
She said her daughter, who is a pupil at Willowridge High School, was elected as a prefect a week before she vanished. "My daughter doesn't like grooving and doesn’t have many friends," she said.
Renolda said she and Lesego were friends, and they spoke about everything. "Her being missing has affected me as I am weak and struggling to cope. I have lost weight for not knowing where my daughter is and where and how is she sleeping," she said, adding that all her clothes were still in the house.
“Furthermore, I have asked my relatives and friends to help us look for her. What scares me is that her cellphone is off.”
