Opting to buck the widely-embraced awards season tradition of wearing figure-accentuating dresses, the outer layer of Eilish's frock billowed outward from the upper torso, leaving her frame completely enveloped.
Fresh off winning an Oscar for her song “No Time To Die” the Academy Awards ceremony, the “Happier Than Ever” singer was back at the Grammys for a little more glitz and glamour. She paired the funky, sculptural ensemble—is that a coat wrapped around a dress?— with rubber-soled boots and skinny sunglasses. She finished it all off with one of her signature sharp updos. It’s giving...Batgirl?
She later added, “The other day, I decided to wear a tank top. It wasn’t even a provocative shirt. But I know people are going to say, ‘Holy fuck, she’s dressing sexy and trying to make a statement.’ And I’m like, ‘No, I’m not. It’s 500 degrees and I just want to wear a tank top.’”
May Billie Eilish always wear exactly what she wants to wear, on the red carpet or off. She said it best herself: Social media opinions are, all too often, shit.
