A piece of gum that was supposedly chewed up and placed onto the Hollywood Walk of Fame sidewalk by the Iron Man actor is now being sold on eBay.
While Robert Downey Jr. will be associated with the MCU and his role as Tony Stark for some time, the actor has been attempting to move away from the Marvel franchise with several other roles. He will soon be seen in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, and the mini-series The Sympathizer, and he has recently been linked to a possible lead in a remake of Alfred Hitchcock thriller Vertigo.
However, it has been hard for the actor to completely shed his superhero character, especially when so many fans are still expecting him to put in another appearance as Iron Man at some point in the multiverse saga. Marvel Studios executive Stephen Broussard previously tried to shut down these hopes but that has not stopped plenty of rumors. Broussard said:
"If you look at, like, Cassie [Lang in Quantumania] getting a suit and Kate Bishop [in Hawkeye], new characters being introduced like Jack in Werewolf by Night. After these first 10 years of Marvel storytelling, torches are being passed, like with Robert Downey Jr. no longer being [on the] table and stuff like that.”
"Hello! I happened to be in the area during the event which had famous actor and producer Jon Favreau being added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. During the event, Robert Downey Jr himself put his gum on the Star and presumably left it there, which I was able to snag. I'm selling it in the same condition I got it in and it can be tested for his DNA."

ABC reported that the person selling the thing will ship it in a plastic container. He had a very tumultuous career in Hollywood leading up to his role in MCU. He had been a rising star in the 80s and 90s, with critically acclaimed performances in films such as Chaplin and Natural Born Killers, but he was also battling addiction and legal troubles. His drug use and frequent arrests had put a damper on his career, and by the early 2000s, he was practically unemployable.
