Klea Pineda is one of the most sought-after celebrities of GMA 7. With her memorable win as Ultimate Survivor on Starstruck 6, Klea starred in prime-time seryes including the 2016 remake of Encantadia.
As Klea celebrates her 24th birthday, she shares a personal story of coming out. My 24th birthday is extra special since I finally mustered up the courage to come out to the world as my true authentic self,” Klea shared. “Masasabi ko na ito na ang pinakamatapang na desisyon na nagawa ko sa buong buhay ko. I want the world to know that I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community”, she added.
In her guesting with Boy Abunda’s Fast Talk, Klea also introduced her girlfriend model Katrice Kierulf who is a fellow motorsport rider.
"Naiiyak ako Tito Boy kasi finally she made it, she's speaking her truth already to everyone and I'm so proud of her, so very heartfelt talaga 'yung desisyon n'yo na 'to," Katrice said about Klea.
Tito Boy also asked Klea whether she considered Katrice on her decision to come out.
"Na-excite siya for me, sobrang supportive niya sa akin and in-ask ko siya kung OK lang sa kanya kasi once na nag-out ako, mag-a-out na rin siya sa public," she said.
"Ang sagot niya sa akin tito boy hinihintay lang naman kita," she added. "She's very supportive talaga ever since, since day one."
Asked for her message to Katrice, Klea kept it short and sweet.
"Thank you for everything, hun. Thank you and I love you so much," she said.
The two of them also shared a hug on stage.
Klea came out as gay on her 24th birthday. After her coming out party, her mom posted a message of support and love on Instagram.
