16-year-old Nigerian boy, Vincent Okezie, with 5 certificates from Guinness World Records now a mechanic apprentice

16-year-old Nigerian boy with 5 certificates from Guinness World Records now a mechanic apprentice.

For us, the Guinness Book of Records is a trademark book produced yearly with record-breaking deeds and facts about people, things or events.

Now that Hilda has broken the record for the Longest Cooking Marathon by smashing the 87 hours 45 minutes record set by the current Guinness World Record holder, Tala London, below are five things Guiness book of records means to Hilda and Nigeria:

An official complimentary record holder certificate

For people asking if she would get paid, Tribune Online however gathered that the Guiness World record does not pay record holders for their achievement but the holder rather gets an official complimentary record holder certificate stating the details of the record.

A 16-year-old Nigerian boy, Vincent Okezie, with five certificates from Guinness World Records, has revealed that he currently works as a mechanic apprentice in Abia state.

Following Hilda Baci’s world-record-breaking cooking marathon at Amore Gardens in Lagos, Vincent’s tale started making the rounds on social media.

Vincent's story began making the rounds on social media following Hilda Baci's record breaking cooking marathon at Amore Gardens, Lagos.

Despite being a five times world recorder breaker, Vincent's life has not changed for the better. Here are the five records broken by Vincent:

Most consecutive backward handsprings with a football between the legs.
Most consecutive passes of a football between the head and soles while balancing on the back of a person (129 passes).
Most over and under pass of a football (soccer ball) with feet touching in one minute (team of two).
Most transfers of football (soccer balls) spun on the finger in 30 seconds (team of two).
Most football (soccer) ‘around the world’ tricks with arms linked (team of two) by Victor Richard Kipo and Vincent Okezie

The photos of Vincent was shared on Facebook by a popular Nigerian content creator, Lucky Udu who revealed that he confirmed from Vincent’s coach and manager, Chukwuebuka Ezugha to know if he was indeed a world record breaker before posting online.

According to Vincent, he did not get sponsorship to advance his football career, causing him to resort to life as a mechanic’s apprentice.

On one of his records, Guinness said: "The most consecutive passes of a football (soccer ball) between the head and soles while balancing on the back of a person is 129, achieved by Chukwuebuka Ezugha, Victor Richard Kipo and Vincent Okezie (all Nigeria), in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom, Nigeria, on 11 March 2022."

Hilda Baci has already climbed that global stage. Regardless of where she comes from, setting a Guinness World Record has set her aside among competitors.

On Sunday, the amazing chef received Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos — Nigeria’s most populous city — who came to support her giant stride. From nowhere, the Vice President of the most populous black nation was on the line with Hilda Baci. All this means more fame and recognition for the new record breaker. By the way, Hilda Baci is now a unique brand name globally.
