A 12-year-old girl in Paris, France, who vanished after school Friday was found stuffed in a trunk with her throat slit and the numbers "1" and "0" possibly written on her feet, say authorities.
They told detectives that the evangelic Christian was suffering from severe psychological problems that prompted sudden acts of violence.
Dahia B. was treated on July 31, 2019, before the health workers say she began attacking them.
"She refused to pay for the treatment, and then became extremely violent – lashing out at two medical secretaries," an investigating source said.
"She kept saying that she had not asked for the treatment, and so did not want to pay for it.
The parents of the girl, identified as Lola Daviet, called police Friday afternoon when she didn't come home from school, the BBC reports.
To their horror, her mutilated body was found later that evening in a trunk near the building in the 19th arrondissement where she lived with her family, according to the BBC. Her body was placed in the trunk underneath a small pile of linens, Le Monde reports.
Her hands and feet were bound with tape and her throat had been cut several times, the BBC reports. An autopsy showed that she died of asphyxiation, Le Monde reports.
She had also been sexually assaulted, the BBC reports.
The BBC, citing authorities, reports two Post-it notes were left on her feet with the numbers "1" and "0" written on them. However, one source told authorities that the numbers were actually imprinted on her body with a "device," French TV station BFMTV reports. The Washington Post, citing police, reports that the numbers were written on the girl's feet in red ink.
Lola's mother told the police that the girl did not return home from school on Friday. CCTV footage revealed that she entered her Paris apartment building around 3:15 p.m. Her father, meanwhile, told police he reviewed the building’s security video and saw his daughter accompanied by an unknown woman. The same woman was seen about two hours later carrying two heavy bags, as per reports.
She has been charged with murder, rape and torture after allegedly slitting the youngster's throat and placing her defiled corpse inside a suitcase earlier this month.

A TikTok video, confirmed to be Dahia B., shows the 24-year-old singing along to a pop song as she looks out the window of a Paris tower block.
As the investigation into Lola's horror killing continues, medics have revealed further unsettling details about a past encounter with Dahia B.
