According to many foreign blogs, Burnaboy, was actually styled by Burberry for his first Met Gala 2023 appearance.
With “The Night Before” Burberry takes a surreal approach to ringing in the holiday season with a short film starring Burna Boy and Shakira. In the video you can see Burna Boy walk through soft snowfall in a quilted nova check jacket with black angel wings attached and a Santa-esque sack printed with the house’s signature print brimming with presents, and Shakira strut in a sheer tulle gown encrusted in crystals, as seen on Lila Moss at the 2022 Met Gala, with silverware and other objects flying around her. The campaign features design codes from former chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci’s tenure before he stepped down in September.
Shakira and Burna Boy do a fabulous job of modeling the Burberry wears, proving that you don’t need an ugly sweater to be the best dressed at the holiday party. Although you don’t have to wear black angel wings like Burna Boy, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to test them out as Burna definitely makes it look good.
The Met Gala is going to roll out the red carpet on May 1. While the guest list remains a secret till the last minute, some names who may be in attendance at the fashion's biggest night have raised the curiosity among the netizens. As per a report, BTS members RM aka Namjoon and Jimin may walk the red carpet of the Met Gala this year. This will make them the first BTS members to mark their presence at the Met Ball.
RM and Jimin are both global ambassadors for luxury brands Bottega Veneta and Dior respectively, Jimin also represents Tiffany & Co. They have been praised for their sophisticated and elegant looks, as well as their ability to pull off various concepts and colors. RM and Jimin have also expressed their interest in fashion and art, making them ideal candidates for the Met Gala.
With the global fandom the K-pop celebs, especially BTS members enjoy, all eyes will be on whether or not the idols will be at the Met Gala this year or not. As predicted by WWD Korea, BTS RM aka Namjoon and Jimin may participate at the Met Gala this year. Jimin is the brand ambassador of Dior and Tiffany and Co and RM is the the ambassador to Bottega Veneta and may join the Met red carpet for the respective brands. However, nothing stands confirmed as of now.
According to WWD Korea, a reliable source for fashion news, four top K-Pop idols are likely to join the Met Gala guest list next year. They are BTS’s RM and Jimin, and BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Rosé. These four idols are not only known for their musical talents, but also for their impeccable style and influence in the fashion world.
Jennie and Rosé are also global ambassadors for Chanel and Saint Laurent respectively, as well as Sulwhasoo. They have been recognized for their chic and trendy outfits, as well as their charisma and confidence on stage. Jennie and Rosé have also attended several fashion shows and events in the past, such as the Chanel Cruise Show and the Sulwhasoo event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Rosé has previously attended the met gala.
