The character of Thabo ‘Tbose’ Maputla has been recast and will now be played by actor and dancer, Hungani Ndlovu.
The role was previously played by Cornet Mamabolo.
However, before viewers can look forward to seeing the return of the prodigal Maputla son, they will see two young boys discover a dangerous hidden treasure which will leave one of their lives in danger. At the same time, a budding relationship will hang in the balance.
The Magongwa and Maputla families will also have an angry exchange of words and accusations, leaving viewers wondering if they will even get past their differences.
Beloved Skeem Saam actor, Cornet Mamabolo, recently bid farewell to a character that he has been playing since the show’s inception, Thabo “Tbose” Maputla, in favour of a career in the financial services sector.
He made the announcement via his social media and thanked the show’s viewers for all the support over the years.
“I mean I literally matured to be the man I’m today before your eyes,” he wrote before adding: “This is a break for me to primarily focus on my insurance business; Digni Financial Services.”
