Report of Colts player, WR Michael Pittman Jr., getting suspended for the 2023-2024 NFL Regular Season following an investigation related to gambling is UNCONFIRMED

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Report of Colts player, WR Michael Pittman Jr. getting suspended for the 2023-2024 NFL Regular Season following an investigation related to gambling is UNCONFIRMED.

Ari Meirov wrote: "A #Colts players is being investigated for gambling on games and there's evidence the player placed hundreds of wagers, including bets involving the Colts, per @MattRybaltowski of @sports_handle. The player is not considered a "star" but the average fan has likely heard of him."

WR Michael Pittman Jr. has been suspended for the 2023-2024 NFL Regular Season following an investigation related to gambling, per sources.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. got ejected from the Week 15 win over the New England Patriots, and many are still wondering why.

Despite not throwing a punch and getting pushed to the ground from behind, Pittman Jr. was one of the two players—along with Patriots safety Kyle Dugger—ejected from the game during a little scuffle.

While head coach Frank Reich admits he doesn’t have every minor detail of the decision, he doesn’t agree with the fact that Pittman Jr. should have been ejected.
“I mean at first, I was a little upset with Pitt (Michael Pittman Jr.) because we preach so hard against that. It’s such a critical point – every game is so critical, this game was super critical, but going back and looking at it on tape, I don’t know,” Reich told reporters Sunday. “Of course, I can’t see everything. TV copy and the tape doesn’t show everything. It didn’t seem to me warranted, but I don’t know all the details. I don’t know everything that happened out there. I’m going to trust the officials in New York or whoever makes that final call but from what I saw and what I could feel out there, I didn’t really think it was warranted.”

Pittman Jr. left the game with just one reception on five targets for seven yards. The incident took place when Dugger took exception to Pittman's aggressive blocking on a rush by Indianapolis running back Jonathan Taylor.

Dugger had his arm around the back of Pittman's neck when the Colts receiver shoved him off. The two then pushed each other, with Pittman's helmet partially hanging off his head. Dugger retaliated by using his left hand to shove Pittman in the face, which caused him to stagger to the ground.

Dugger didn't stop there. He ripped Pittman's helmet off as the receiver was falling. The pushing and shoving continued while they were on the ground as players from both teams tried to break up the incident.

The officials met momentarily before giving both players dead-ball personal fouls and disqualifying them. In his short time in the league, Pittman has gained a reputation for being an aggressive blocker, and often has mixed it up with the opposition.

The loss snapped New England's seven-game winning streak. The Colts have won four of their last five games.
