Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Owner, João Fantazzini, demands justice for his 4-year-old Golden Retriever dog, Joca, who died in a metal transport box by Gollog Animais for hours without proper hydration.

The owner of the dog that died in Gol air transport , João Fantazzini, said this Tuesday (23) that the most painful thing is knowing that Joca suffered before he died. The golden retriever boarded on Monday (22), bound for Sinop, in Mato Grosso, but, due to a company error, ended up going to Fortaleza, Ceará.

According to the owner, a veterinary certificate was presented to the airline which indicated that the animal would survive a two and a half hour journey. Due to the company's error, however, Joca spent almost 8 hours on the journey.

The two would move to Sorriso (MT) and everything was already organized. Both boarded to arrive at the same time in Sinop, but, when the owner disembarked and went to look for the dog, the company asked if he wanted to return to São Paulo to pick up Joca, who had ended up in another state due to an error.

The company offered a free round-trip flight from Mato Grosso to São Paulo, in addition to accommodation. Upon arriving in São Paulo, a company employee welcomed João onto the plane, offered him food and then left him to wait until the flight the dog was on landed.

The five-year-old golden retriever Joca was taken to Fortaleza by mistake and spent around 1h30min on the arrivals and departures runway, with a temperature of around 36°C, according to the family, inside the kennel, without eating.

“There is no one who can handle an airstrip with 36°C sunlight. It is closed in the box. They didn’t take him out of the box, he came back all wet,” João told TV Globo.

In a statement, Gol stated that it was surprised by Joca's death because he had received care from the team in the capital of Ceará. According to the company, the death occurred shortly after landing in Guarulhos.
