Authorities from the three levels of government are fighting a fire in the municipality of Valle de Bravo.
The fire is recorded in the area known as Velo de Novia and Cualtenco, where the Probosque brigades, the National Forestry Commission (Conafor), community brigades, Villa de Colorines Firefighters work; as well as elements of the Mexican Army and the State Security Secretariat.
Because this is a tourist area, a cut has been made at the entrance to Velo de Novia, to restrict access and keep tourists and walkers safe, the Mexican government reported.
Another fire is recorded in the area of El Cerrillo, in the Avándaro region, an area of Valle de Bravo, where several country estates and huge ranches of Mexican businessmen and politicians have settled.
One more forest conflagration is reported in San Bartolo Amanalco, where community members have also armed brigades to create firebreaks so that the flames do not spread further.

The flames spread during the night of this Sunday, while residents of the area demanded that the work be reinforced to limit the damage.
