SisterSister star, Marques Houston has openly defended his relationship with his 19-year-old lover, Miya after numerous backlashes.

Marquee Houston had to defend himself after a blog published nasty things about him in his involvement with Miya. 

Taking to his Instagram page, Marques said that he and Chris Stokes' daughter, Chrissy stokes met Miya in 2018 during a convention in Jehovah Witness. He added that he and Miya didn't start dating in 2018 because she wasn't upto 18. He and Miya started dating in March 2018, and by that period, she was 18(legal age).

Marques Houston also addressed why Miya calls Chrissy Stokes "dad". According to Marques, he said that the reason Miya calls Chris Stokes is because he's like a father to her. Marques also added that his dad, Michael loves Miya alot.
