According to information, Zimbabwe's former President Mugabe, The Gambia's ex President Dawda Jawara and Prime Minister Kofi Abrefa Busia also attended Achimota School.
Achimota School is known for participating in all sports game with popular Nigerian secondary school, Kings college.
Achimota School has two libraries, two gyms, two chapels, tennis and squash courts, four dining halls, a sports field, gym, post office, cricket oval, basketball court and an arboretum.
