Police confirm the death of Innocent Siwale aged 35 of Kazilamawe area who was attacked and eaten by stray lion

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Police have confirmed the death of Innocent Siwale aged 35 of Kazilamawe area who was attacked and eaten by stray lion.

Muchinga Province Police Deputy Commanding Officer Lucky Munkondya says, Isoka Police Station had received a report of Sudden and Unnatural death.

The deceased was last seen on Saturday 18/6/22 at around 19:00 hours and he was found dead after being attacked and eaten by lions on Monday 20/6/22 at 15:00 hours in Kazilamawe village along Isoka - Muyombe road in Isoka District. 

The Deputy Commanding Officer stated that Police Officers rushed to the scene and only found the deceased's head with some bones.

The remains were picked and deposited at Isoka District Hospital Mortuary.

However, officers from National Parks and Wildlife have been informed and have since dispatched to the area.
