Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Lobola negotiation cancelled after they discovered that the bride has a tatto on her thigh. 

The term "lobola" refers to a marriage tradition that has been used by southern African civilizations for generations. Lobola is a sort of bridewealth, or payment provided by the groom's family to the bride's family before a marriage can take place. Cattle were traditionally used as payment in former times. Cash is accepted today. Therefore, lobola is not viewed as a purchase. The payment is looked of as a sign of the unity between the families of the bride and the groom.

Information reads: "Lobola negotiation cancelled after they discovered that the bride has a tatto on her thigh. The unfortunate discovery was made during the bride's virginity testing. The Malume's were not happy that their son wanted to marry someone with a tattoo as they don’t know who drew it.

There have been a lot of concerns over these virginity tests as to whether they are necessary or they cause trouble. In this instance, the Malume were worried about who exactly put the tattoo on such parts of the body parts which are considered sacred.

Twitter has been divided over the matter with some saying the wedding should have continued.

I love it when kid’s best interests are protected. I love that the fiance’s family made it clear what their expectation was and uGirl chose umtanakhe (her son) over cuddles and more.
