Lane, 69, took a court-ordered paternity test in 1990 which showed he was not Boebert's father.

But doubts over the legitimacy were raised when the lab worker who took his blood sample was convicted of taking a bribe to switch vials in another case and Bentz asked for Lane to be investigated. 

He eventually agreed to take a second test in May and the results proved he was not the father of Rep. Boebert, 36. This conclusion comes after years of turmoil between both parties, one that Lane elaborated on in his press release. "We went through the legal system and completed a court-ordered paternity test. I was declared not to be the father and the case was dismissed," The former NWA star explained, "In spite of the court verdict, the mother of [Lauren Boebert] has continued to stick to her original claim."

Eventually, Lane allowed the congresswoman to oversee another DNA test herself, confirming, once again, that the former pro wrestler was not her father. "Once we both reviewed the results Lauren and I agreed that this matter is settled, and I accepted Lauren's apology on behalf of herself and her mother," Lane concluded.

Boebert admitted to reporters that she and the former wrestler, known as Stan Lane, both took DNA tests about a month ago — and that the test determined that there is a 0.0% chance that he is actually her father. 

Boebert’s mom spent decades hounding and suing the former wrestler child support — and even abused her daughter’s position in Congress to publicly ruin his reputation through public attacks. The former wrestler responded to the news by calling out Boebert’s mom, declaring that, “This situation and the numerous false claims made against me over the years has been stressful for me and my family. I feel that my otherwise good reputation has been tarnished considerably. I and other close members of my inner circle have been dragged into this as well.”

Lauren Boebert responded to the news by admitting that his mother “wrongfully attacked” him for years — and that he “didn’t deserve it.”
