David and Chioma were both students at Babcock University, where David was studying music and Chioma was studying Economics. The couple started dating in 2015.

In a recent documentary with YouTuber and vlogger Tayo Aina, Davido gave his followers a glimpse into a typical day in his life. The musician revealed his daily itinerary in the 43-minute-long film, which includes constant travel, short pauses and rest in private aircraft flying thousands of feet above sea level, and dealing with the celebrity lifestyle in various places across the world.

“I work too hard, Tayo. Everybody is sleeping, but I’m up recording, I’m up mixing. We are up editing videos, calling Dammy like, ‘Yo, I want it this way!'” Davido expresses the immense amount of effort that goes into creating his music and visuals.

It becomes evident that his path to success has been paved by blood, sweat, and tears. However, Davido also acknowledges the blessings he has received and is determined not to squander them.

“Brother, God has blessed us so much that let’s not waste this next run. I will never forget. This next five, six years, I need to own this [expletive]. Upper Echelon, that’s what I’m thinking about,” he passionately declares during a meeting with his team, as they meticulously plan for his upcoming American tour spanning from July to November.

When asked about his sources of inspiration, Davido humbly reveals that he finds it in helping others. “I get it from helping other people. Seeing success in my work in other people,” he responds to Tayo Aina’s question.

This revelation provides a glimpse into the genuine and compassionate nature of Davido, showing that his motivation extends beyond personal achievements.

Moreover, the video unveils the massive success of Davido’s recent studio album dubbed ‘Timeless’. It garnered the highest number of first-day streams ever for an African studio album on Apple Music, further solidifying his status as a global music powerhouse.
