Drake officially ties Michael Jackson as the male soloist with the most #1 hits (13) in Hot 100 HISTORY.

Every October, one of Michael Jackson's most iconic hits begins its annual resurgence in popularity. As the spookiest day of the year approaches, "Thriller" reclaims a spot on several Billboard charts, as millions of Americans continue buying, streaming and listening to this iconic tune to set the mood for the season.

"Thriller" rises again on the latest R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart, Billboard's weekly ranking of the bestselling hip-hop, rap and R&B tracks in the United States. Jackson's smash soars from its previous position at No. 21 to No. 7, once again breaking into the top 10. With its current trajectory, "Thriller" is on track to come close to conquering the list before the Halloween season comes to a close, just as it has done in the past.

This particular moment holds special significance for the iconic single, as it has now spent 52 weeks, or precisely one year, on the chart. "Thriller" currently stands as the third-longest-charting title on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart, surpassed only by Eminem's "Lose Yourself" with more than 400 weeks on the chart and John Legend's "All of Me," which has notched 126 turns on the list.

“Thriller” is performing even better on the more specific R&B Digital Song Sales chart. On that list, Jackson’s Thriller single is up to No. 4 after landing at No. 11 last time around.

Jackson's timeless single "Thriller" reclaims its spot on a couple of Billboard charts this week, and this resurgence may just be the beginning of its seasonal success. Each October, "Thriller" resurfaces on various rankings, as it is a beloved favorite among millions of Americans to set the Halloween mood. The track experiences a surge in sales on iTunes and AmazonAMZN, and many radio stations across the country put it back into regular rotation.
